Dataset (TC11a): Domestic Customers on the Smart Washing Machine Direct Control Trial
Overview
This dataset forms part of a comprehensive suite of results, derived from the CLNR project’s trials with more than 12,000 UK electricity customers. The August 2014 published datasets cover both load and generation profiles, as well as the potential for customer flexibility. The dataset is presented in an open and usable format.

The zip. contains the following xls. files:
| Description: | Direct control of a Wet White Good (e.g. Washing Machine) which will be provided free of charge |
| Purpose: | Testing the impact of direct control to move energy usage away from periodic network peaks to manage the grid loads |
| Customer numbers: | 96 machines monitored, although some did not return data or did not receive DSR signal (see “Machine Status” sheet for a breakdown) |
| Data Source: | Machine status reports sent via GreenCom system |
