Dataset (TC1b) – Basic Profiling of Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) Customers
Overview
This dataset forms part of a comprehensive suite of results, derived from the CLNR project’s trials with more than 12,000 UK electricity customers. The August 2014 published datasets cover both load and generation profiles, as well as the potential for customer flexibility. The dataset is presented in an open and usable format.

| Description: | Monitoring of customers’ overall consumption using British Gas’ existing Smart Metering population. In this trial, a “SME” is defined as a business customer with less than 100kW peak demand and thus not subject to mandatory half-hourly DNO metering. |
| Purpose: | Allows network operators to understand in more detail energy usage across the day and how this varies with business profile. This also acts as a control cell for the other CLNR trials. |

| Data Source: | British Gas Smart Metering 30 minute data. Data was collected between 01/09/2011 and 30/08/2012. All data is in BST. |
