NPADDS Enduring Specification
Overview
The Customer-Led Networek Revolution (CLNR) project has developed an innovative prototype software tool to aid distribution network planners and designers in the move to low carbon networks. The software is called the Network Planning and Design Decision Support (NPADDS) tool.
This document details the requirements of a Business As Usual (BAU) ready version of the NPADDS software tool that was prototyped as part of the CLNR project. This specification forms the basis of procurement of such a BAU software product by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) or other interested parties. There are many areas that require further innovation work to implement this specification; these are highlighted throughout the document.
