Operational Guidance and Training Requirements: Trials of Secondary Transformers with Integral OLTC
Overview
As part of the Customer-Led Network Revolution project, Northern Powergrid installed and trialled distribution transformers with integral on load tap changers (OLTC) at its Wooler Bridge, Darlington Melrose and Mortimer Road substations.
This document provides operational guidance and specifies the training requirements for individuals who access, operate or work at locations where a distribution transformer equipped with an on load tapchanger has been installed and commissioned.
