Planning for Britain’s Energy Future

The Customer-Led Network Revolution is a partnership between Northern Powergrid, British Gas, Durham University and EA Technology which is partly funded by the Low Carbon Network Fund established by Ofgem* working to help understand current energy usage and see how we can meet future UK energy needs. We are running an innovative trial which will help us find ways for our customers and employees to use energy more efficiently and would like to give our employees the opportunity to take part in this exciting trial.

The trial is aimed at understanding customers' overall electricity consumption and how that consumption is split across different usage types in the home like lighting, cooking, home and water heating as well as many household appliances. By taking part in the trial you’ll be playing your part in helping make energy use more efficient for generations to come. On top of this you’ll receive £50 of M&S vouchers at the start of the trial as a thank you for agreeing to take part and another £50 at the end of the trial. The results of this trial will help make sure new electricity networks can cope with the introduction of energy technology like smart meters, solar panels, electric vehicles and many other low carbon technologies. These findings will then give consumers with these technologies more flexibility over the way they use and generate energy whilst allowing these technologies to be adopted faster and more affordably in the future. You may have received a communication inviting you to register your interest already. If you are interested in joining the trial or would like to know more please complete the form below and we will be in touch shortly to explain the trials, help you decide which trial you may be eligible for and tell you what you need to do next. And should you want to leave the trial at any time just let us know
